Exploring the world of Meditation

Have you always been interested in Meditation, but not sure that you are able to do it? Has someone told you it might be good for you, but every time you try all you can do is think about your grocery list?

I am here to tell that is perfectly normal, most people when they first think about meditating or try to do it, they think they are doing it all wrong. When I bring up the word meditation with people, I hear more about what they can’t do than what they can do.

I have been meditating now for 40 years and through those years I have taught many people how to meditate, helping them to find the right technique for them. Different styles work for different people.

This is why I am so excited to be offering the exploration of meditation. The core meditation practice will be mindfulness meditation, but each class we will branch out and expand on traditionally mindfulness practices.

We will also be exploring mantra meditation, chakra meditation, and deep visualization. Meditations will be experienced in both silence and with a background music track.

Class Times: Classes will happen 6 times a week directly following Nia classes. You do not need to stay after a Nia class and you do not need to attend a Nia class, this timing is simply the most logical. It is drop-in, so you do not need to let me know if are coming. If there are any changes to the schedule they can be found on my facebook page or the events page on this site.

Cost: In the traditional mindfulness manner I will be offering the classes by “dana” or donation. Pay what you can.

This is my gift to you.

What should you bring: If you would like to bring a meditation pillow, yoga mat or blanket. This is not mandatory but simply ideas. I will have chairs, pillows and yoga mats for you as well.
